Club History

Robins women’s hockey club was established in Busselton in 1958 and has been one of the most successful Hockey Clubs in Busselton and the South West Region.

The Robins A-Grade team won the premiership in the inaugural year of the South West League, where the top grade teams from Busselton combined with Bunbury sides to compete in one of the strongest Hockey Associations outside the metropolitan area. Robins also won the silverware in the following 2002 season, and have made the finals regularly ever since.



The Robins Womens Hockey Club has four life members. They are Mavis Gray, Anne Faithfull, Nikki Brookes and Linda Wright.

Mavis Gray represented Australia from 1969 to 1977 and captained the Australian womens team in 1975-76. She was made a life member of the Busselton Women’s Hockey Association in 1987.

Jodie Goss has represented the AIS, Australian Under-21’s and Captained WA’s Under 21 team. Jodie is still an active member of the club, sharing her experience still by coaching and mentoring other players.
